Kristie was born in Spokane, WA in March 1975, the second child and only daughter of James and Jan Lloyd. She is survived by those who adored her most, her loving husband Jeff, daughters Evelyn, Abigail and Sofia, Mother Jan Lloyd and brother Connor (Kim & Sam) Lloyd.
Kristie spent most of her childhood in the idyllic neighborhood of Somerset, attended high school in Clyde Hill WA, at Bellevue Christian, and later college in Scottsdale AZ. Kristie started working in high school as a barista and thrived in the fast-paced and communal environment of the 90’s coffee shop. A natural servant leader, she moved into management, then eventually left the coffee world for a startup in the early days of the internet.
On June 12th, 1999, she married Jeff, the luckiest man in the world; she was devoted wife, partner and best friend for over 25 years. In 2003 Kristie found her true calling when Evelyn Grace was born, followed by Abigail Rose and Sofia Cate, the absolute crowning jewels of her life. Her first day back from maternity leave, Kristie knew she was called to be a full-time mother and quit the corporate world forever.
As a devoted mother of three, and full-time homeschool teacher, Kristie created an adventurous life of learning for her daughters where every day was new and wondrous. She cultivated their minds with active and personal learning, nurtured their souls with God’s word, and fostered unbreakable bonds with several families. Her own curiosity was unquenched, she was a voracious reader, an outdoor enthusiast and gardener, who adored her three pets and all God’s creatures as an amateur entomologist and ornithologist. Kristie was a playlist phenom who loved music of all kinds, skilled at mixing the perfect sound for any occasion, she truly created the soundtrack to our lives. Kristie loved to travel, from weekend road trips to the mountains or Puget Sound, to sipping great wine in the countryside of France, to serving forgotten villages in the hills of Guatemala. She was committed to giving back and helping those less fortunate, hand delivering food & groceries to the displaced, packing up emergency medical supplies or playing with little ones at MOPS, wherever she could be of service.
Kristie was a true friend to those fortunate enough to call her that. She was the best listener, a master of being present and could connect at the deepest levels. Kristie loved deeply and lived life to the fullest. Kristie loved Jesus, who gave her strength and purpose, and she committed her life to knowing and emulating Him. She is a precious Child of God, and we will fiercely miss her until we’re reunited in Heaven.
