Larry Edward Brickman

Larry Edward Brickman was born on Jan. 28, 1943, in Quincy, Illinois. He was raised on a farm by his predeceased parents, Earl and Darlene, along with his predeceased brother, Robert (Bobby), and his surviving sister, Donna (Bischoff). Larry developed his strong work ethic early, even driving a tractor down the highway by himself at age seven. He worked hard in 4-H raising and showing hogs and earned enough money to pay his way through Southern Illinois University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1967.

He entered the U.S. Air Force just after graduation and married Donna Defieux on July 5, 1969. He served as an officer for 21 years, retiring at the rank of Major. While in the Air Force, he also earned his Master of Business Administration. Larry and Donna traveled the world during his Air Force career, moving 12 times during their marriage. Todd was born in 1973 at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Kelly was born at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. After moving to Washington, Larry worked for Boeing for 15 years while also starting his own small businesses that he ran for the rest of his life. Larry was always known for his devout faith in Jesus Christ, which he eagerly shared with others at every opportunity. He faithfully served at every church they attended, most recently leading the Welcome Team with Donna at Bellevue Neighborhood Church. Larry always maintained and demonstrated a deep love for his wife, Donna; their children, Todd and Kelly (Radcliff); and his grandchildren, Weston, Avery, Ryder, Broderick, Whittaker, and Thatcher, as well as his great-grandchild, Miles.

Larry entered the presence of his Savior on July 2, 2026. His remains will be buried at Tahoma National Cemetery.
