Lee Ray Nance passed away early on March 12th, 2018 after a two year battle with esophageal cancer. He was a fighter and not until the very end did he give in while he was still able to say his goodbyes.
Lee was born in Seattle, Washington on August 27th, 1942. He graduated from Franklin High School and continued on to be a Master Pinsetter Mechanic for more than 50 years. Lee worked his entire life and cherished any time he could spend with his kids. Lee loved taking his kids on camping trips and many hikes around the Puget Sound. He adored his grand and great-grand children.
Lee was a strong, loving, and giving man who would do anything for his family and friends. He had a way of making everyone he met smile. He was a lifelong Huskies football fan, and enjoyed working around the house and spending time with his family.
Lee was the heart of our family and he will be greatly missed. Lee has joined his wife, Beth Nance, after almost exactly twenty years apart. Lee is survived by his wife Julie, children Dan, Stephen, Deborah, Dolores, Leanna, Lori, and Chris, as well as his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lee also lives in the heart of the many foster children that spent time in his home. He will be laid to rest alongside Beth at the Sunset Hills Memorial Park. A celebration of his life will be held at the Lucky Strike Bowling Alley on Saturday, March 24th from 2-5 pm. Memorial donations can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/lee-ray-nance-memorial-fund. All donations will be used to help Lee’s family pay for medical bills and memorial expenses. Any remaining money will be donated to cancer research.
