Linda Meyer was born in Seattle in 1948 to John and Myrtle Belton. She lived in the Seattle area most of her life, also spending several years in Scottsdale, Arizona in the 70s and 80s with her husband Earl. Linda was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend.
As a child, she was very artistic. Her teachers often mentioned how shy and unassertive she was in school—a fact that might come as a shock to those who knew her enterprising and self-assured nature later in life.
Her artistic eye led to a long career as an interior designer. Linda’s work earned several honors, including the Best in Show award at the Seattle Street of Dreams. Toward the end of her career, she focused on the needs of the elderly, designing spaces dedicated to the comfort, safety, and independence of seniors living with memory issues.
A lover of wine, food, architecture, and the good life, Linda’s passion was travel. She had a special spot in her heart for the beautiful coastlines, scenic vistas, and friendly people of Italy.
Linda passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband Earl Meyer in 2003 and fiancé Bill Kennedy in 2017. She is succeeded by her sister Sheila, son Brent, daughter-in-law Laura, and her beloved grandkids Jack and Claire.
