Maggie was born to William and Delia Jenkins in Bristol, England, the second of two children. Her mother passed at an early age and her father was remarried to Betty Jenkins who had 2 more children. Maggie grew up in the Bristol area and after completing school she attended Nursing School. Upon graduation she began her career as a registered nurse at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. In 1965 she meet and married Robert Fraser. A family soon followed; Ian and Peter, born over three years. In August of 1968 the family moved to America and settled in Bellevue Washington. Maggie spent the first few years raising the boys, but soon returned to the work she loved as a registered nurse for Valley Medical Center in Renton. She soon transferred to Group Health in Bellevue and began her career as a Nursing Administrator.
Maggie was an avid gardener, entertainer and gourmet cook. She enjoyed spending many hours in her garden growing everything from vegetables to flowers. She prided herself on a well-kept garden and always had flowers in the house. She and Bob had many friends and started several Gourmet groups in the area, inspiring others to experiment with different gourmet foods. Maggie and Bob enjoyed many special vacations around the world including trips to Europe, Australia, and Fiji. As with all these activities, it was the friends that made it special for her.
Maggie was a loving wife for 47 years until Bob’s passing in 2011. A dedicated and loving grandmother (Nonnie) to Zachary and Tyler, she rarely missed a school concert, a theatre performance, or any of their sporting events. Her grandsons were the light of her life.
She is preceded in passing by her husband Bob and brother Clive. She is survived by her brother John, her sons Ian and Peter, daughter-in-law Vicki and grandsons Zachary and Tyler
