Marie Annette Telecky

Marie was born on June 30, 1959 in Wenatchee Washington, to Joseph and Mary Ann Lancaster. She graduated from Eastmont High School in East Wenatchee.

She married her husband Scott Telecky in Leavenworth Washington in 1989. The couple made their home in Bellevue Washington.

She began her career with the Bellevue School District as a volunteer elementary school playground supervisor. She continued to rise through the ranks while earning a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She retired from the school district as the Director of Finance and Budget.

Marie and Scott shared a passion for international travel. They have literally been around the world, having passed through every degree of longitude, and setting foot on all seven continents.

In addition to travel, Marie and Scott enjoyed cruising, fishing and crabbing on board their boat, the Mary Jo.

Marie enjoyed attending sporting events, especially the Seattle Mariners. She also enjoyed the Seahawks, Sounders, and the Kraken.

She spent many mother-daughter outings with Lisa to the local casinos and occasional country music events.

One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren, Emma and Aden. She and Scott would walk them to school every day and then finish up with a four mile hike through the city trails.

Marie is survived by her husband Scott, her son Scott (Audrey) Callihan, her daughter Lisa (Robert) Bennett, and grandchildren Emma Bennett and Aden Bennett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue on October 28th. Viewing at 10:00 with services starting at 12:00.
