Marlene Emily Granberg (Bayne) 84., of Redmond, WA passed away Thursday November 14th at Mission Healthcare Rehabilitation Facility in Bellevue, WA. She was surrounded by her Children and Grandchildren.
Beloved Mother of Carol, Penny, Jon and Jill, and grandmother to Sasha, Katelin, Cameron and Carsen.
Marlene was born January 27th, 1935 to parents Wilbur and Elizabeth Bayne of Livingston Montana.
Marlene graduated from Park County High School, Livingston, MT in 1953, attended Montana State College in Bozeman, MT where she studied accounting, Marlene then moved to Seattle, WA where she met & married John Arthur Granberg. They raised their family on Yarrow Point in Bellevue, WA.
Marlene was an accountant for Safeway Stores for many years and retired from there. Marlene enjoyed many years of travel with Art, she loved her children and grandchildren, her cats and dogs…she enjoyed her home, gardening, the Mariners and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband Art in 2003, daughter Penny in1992 and her parents, Wilbur and Elizabeth. She is survived by her brother Robert Damon (Faith) of Vancouver, WA, her daughter Carol (Sasha) of Kirkland, WA, Son in Law Wayne (Katelin) of Sultan, WA, son Jon (Connie) of Redmond, WA, daughter Jill (Tom) of Deer Park, WA, Cameron (Josh) of Seattle, WA and Carsen (Cooper) of Clayton, WA.
Marlene will be laid to rest @ Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue, WA. There will be a celebration of life in January 2020. Marlene was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren and ALL who knew her.
