Mike Pietromonaco was born in Seattle on May 5, 1927 and he quietly passed away in his sleep on August 31, 2015 at Seattle’s Swedish Hospital, from the effects of pneumonia. In his final hours, Mike was surrounded by his large family. Mike had successful careers as a Boeing Electrical Engineer and Manager, a wine importer and distributor and the owner of an Aerospace Manufacturers’ Representative Company. He loved and respected all the people in his life and they loved and respected Mike. He attended Garfield HS and graduated from Cleveland HS where he met Donna, his wife of 68 years. He served in the US Coast Guard during World War II and graduated from Seattle University. He was also a past board member of the Hamlin Robinson School and the Seattle Symphony. Mike will be best remembered for his friendly and generous personality. He is survived by his loving wife Donna, his children Michael (Nancy), Kathy (Giovanni), Toni, Elaine, Teresa (David); his grandchildren Michael, Shannon (Brian), Christa (Eric), Daniela, Joey (Mona), Meghan, Danny, Rose, Alice, Heather, Brandon (Ashley); his five great-granddaughters and his nephew, nieces and cousins. The memorial service and following reception for Mike will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 18th at Saint Monica Catholic Church, 4311 88th Avenue SE, Mercer Island, WA 98040, (206) 232-2900.
