I am so sorry to hear that Pat Heyward passed away. Condolences to the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I felt fortunate to get to know Pat (& Ralph) in high school when I would come to pick Megan up and she’d be running late (every time) so I was invited in to talk with her parents in the living room or kitchen.

Pat was always so genuinely interested in what was going on in my life and that never changed thru the years. Whenever I’d see her she always wanted to get the latest and remembered everything from the last time we chatted. As a teenager this always impressed me that she cared so much, as an adult I came to appreciate it.

Even after Megan left for Notre Lame (Dame), I would come and visit with her parents, Ralph providing the buckwheat pancakes and Pat the conversation and laughter. That laugh! Loved Pat’s laugh.

She’s left us too soon, but she’s left us all better people. I feel fortunate to have known her and will hear that laugh for the rest of my life. Hugs to you Pat. Hugs to the whole Heyward family.

Patti was truly one of my very favorite persons.  I was so so sorry to hear of her passing.  I feel blessed to have known her and for our friendship.  Over the years we have shared many laughs and heart to hearts.  Her friendship and kindness will always be remembered.  

I met Patti while working for DOCTOR’s referral back in the early 90’s.  She always made it fun to come to work.  After I moved back to Alaska in 1993, we kept in touch.  We continued to get together when I visited the Seattle area.  

My heart goes out to her entire family.  I will be keeping them all in my thoughts and prayers.  She loved them deeply!  Love and hugs to all.
