

Pon Fook Lock was born on March 31st, 1929 in Taishan, Guangdong, China to Mr. Wing Tan Lock and Mrs. Ngook Sun Lock. He was the youngest sibling with three brothers and one sister. After the 1949 Chinese revolution, he moved from China to Hong Kong. He immigrated to the United States at the age of twenty-two and settled in Seattle, Washington. In 1958, he went to Hong Kong, where he met Ms. Ying Wah Lim and got married. They have four sons, whom are all married. He has two grandsons and three granddaughters. He worked very hard throughout his life to support the family and to provide financial security, to ensure his children have a happy and successful life. He is honest, kind, hardworking, dedicated husband, and a loving father. He enjoyed family gatherings for holidays and family events.
Since arriving in the United States, he has worked in several Chinese restaurants; he started out as a bus boy and later became a waiter. He retired from Chopsticks Restaurant after many years. During his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling to Yellow Stone, East Coast, Hawaii, Banff, Thailand, and China.
His wife took very good care of him throughout his life, especially in the later years of his life. On the morning of November 5th, he passed away peacefully at home. He is loved by his family and he will be dearly missed.
