A beloved, brave, and hard-working man, Roy was a resident of Bothell, Washington. Although he is no longer with us, he is sure to be missed dearly by those that got to know him.
Roy served his country in the Vietnam War and went on to start his career at Boeing, from which he eventually retired. His commitment to work and community was evident in his active membership in IAM 751 and Local E, as well as his involvement with the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, City of Bothell Arts, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Redmond #3324.
Roy also served as a past trustee of Cascadia College and the Washington State Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Roy was predeceased by his parents Henry Francis Wilkinson and Justine Juanita Carothers. Roy is survived by his wife, Lisa, his sister Lynn (Edward) Hurley, sister-in-law Lori (Peter) Churchyard, nephews Matthew (Kellie) Hurley and Paul (Sena) Churchyard, and nieces Sara Hurley and Lily Churchyard.
In his personal life, Roy enjoyed cruises and had a passion for singing karaoke anywhere he could. His vibrant spirit and dedication to his family, friends, and community will be deeply missed.
Memorial service is February 13, 2026 at 12 pm at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 1575 145th Pl SE, Bellevue, WA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Guide Dogs of America, Vietnam Veterans of America Washington State or main office of Vietnam Veterans of America.
