I was so sorry to learn of the loss of Rudy. I still think of him from time to time and have fond memories of him as an employer many, many years ago.

I am currently over in Maui and heard of Rudy's passing.
Rudy and Dorothy were great neighbors on the Hood Canal.  We had some great visits and were sorry to see them leave.

Rudy was a very respectable man, gentleman, warm in heart, sincere and always friendly and very nice to our family, new immigrant from Japan. I opened Kamon of Kobe Japanese Restaurant in front of old Uwajimaya location in Bellevue in the spring of 1982. We bought all decorative tiles from his company to add classic Japanese atmosphere. He immediately became our regular customer, sometimes with his friends, business clients if not just himself sitting at Sushi Bar, always dressed perfectly like a man from fashion magazine. I wondered first time I saw him maybe a movie star. He came to our Sushi Bar regularly and sat at the same place, ordered the same sashimi, that means Yellow tail with some vegetable garnish and hot steamed white rice. He was a connoisseur. Me and my wife were invited to his party at his home and we were impressed with his attitude to take care of each family member as his top priority. Me and my wife deeply miss Rudy. I wish I had known sooner. We enjoyed having chat with Val and Dino, such wonderful people. Hope our friendship continues. What a great man we have to miss. We pray for his eternal and infinite peace and comfort in his new journey.  Sam Takahashi, Belleuve

We are truly grateful to have had Rudy and family as neighbors around 1968 on Hood Canal. If it were not for Rudy's encouragement and support we would not be living where we are today and for that we are surely thankful. What a great and wonderful family...and lots of fun too!

Dorthy and family, Hearing that Rudy passed away this past week was very sad.  He was such a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all.  I last saw Rudy in December and he was in great sprits even though he knew what was laying ahead for him.  I really appreciated spending that little time with him on that day.  We held a memorial for Rudy here yesterday in Rancho Mirage with his good friends. Remembering all the good times here over the years.  Our condolences to the family.  Dave and Nikki Traverso

A class act of a man!  I grew up in Bellevue and, while I didn't know Mr. Simone personally, I, of course, knew of the Simone Family, having lived in Bellevue since 1961.  A couple years ago or so, I was at the roundabout at Overlake Hospital North Tower waiting for my ride home after a troubling mammogram.  There was Mr. Simone in the doorway with me.  He asked me how I was and I told him I was a little scared about the possibility of breast cancer.  He shared with me that HE was there because of his cancer and was waiting for his son to drive up.  We talked about his 'ranch', his kids...it was a fleeting moment, really, but seemed larger than life.  I don't know what he did, or didn't do, but somehow he made me feel so positive...I not only left feeling better, but I never forgot about seeing him that day.  He somehow made a mark on me.  God bless him and his family.

Mr. Simone was a great example for all of us kids growing up to follow. His influence on us all was evident in many ways. He was successful, funny, personable and moral. It was always fun and cool to be in his presence when we were kids. He never missed a Roadrunners soccer game as long as I can remember. He had the coolest cars and once in a while he would play that funky horn. I remember that clearly. He was a good golfer and always a gentleman on the golf course. I used to love having father son challenges with my dad and Ronnie and Rudy. I am grateful to have known Rudy and to have grown up knowing the Simone family. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

Mr Simone was a great father to his kids and will be missed.

A legend has died.  Uncle rudy was an inspiration to all that knew him.  Rest in peace uncle....I miss you
