Ryan Abay-Abay was born in Honolulu, Hi on March 29th 1972. His life was tragically ended due to a motorcycle accident on July 3rd 2017. He is survived by his immediate family: His parents, Narciso (Cecil) and Karen Abay-Abay, his brothers Drew Abay-Abay & Jason Abay-Abay, and Jason’s wife Annette Abay-Abay.
Ryan was a ray of sunshine that could warm your heart with his smile and kind actions. He will be deeply missed by all he has touched, both human and animals.
Ryan’s life was full of ups and downs like anybody else, but it was always an interesting time. Ryan grew up on the beaches of Hawaii until the family moved to Bellevue, Washington. He was a Journeyman Carpenter working for Anderson Lease Crutcher as a concrete form carpenter. His interests included hula, ukulele, guitar music and equine husbandry. He was an accomplished Hula and Fire Knife performer for “Sunshine From Polynesia” group. There, he was able to mentor and teach the younger generations in the arts of hula and the fire knife. When he was working for the Sky River Equestrian Center, the horses loved to hear him sing and play the ukulele to them at night. He would develop a relationship with each horse and care for them accordingly.
We as a family would like to invite you to join us in a celebration of Ryan’s life and share your favorite memories of him with us on July 29th 2017.
We hope to see you there
The Abay-Abay family.
