My dear, precious Aunt Sally,
The decades removed you physically, but not from our hearts. The memories from my youth are filled with you. Every summer you brought your children back to Tennessee for a long vacation so they grew up knowing us, their cousins. Family was always central for you. Of all the family, you were always the nurturer, everybody always said so. I see from your photo that as you grew older, you look just like your mother, "Peg," as Granddaddy called her, and equally like my sister Gerry. I guess the Grigsby genes are pretty resilient.
You are so gifted. You are a teacher's teacher. You always gave. You always made everyone around you comfortable. You are hospitality. Your gift is unconditional love. I hope Our Lord can find a spot in heaven for you teaching Love 101 to new arrivals. May you rest with the blessed in the bosom of Abraham. May your memory be eternal in the mind of God.

Sally was a precious lady of whom I have many dear memories! I shared the news with my mom this evening and she shared many memories of her as well and her gratefulness at having known her. To her dear family, she loved you all so much! You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you walk through these days. May you feel God's arms of love holding you close!
