Steve loved his family, his friends, golf, a great deal, cheese and the comfort of a good (preferably blue) chair (not necessarily in that order.) Son of Bob and Nancy Hardie, brother of Scott and best friend to THOUSANDS, Steve poured his love and passion for life into everything from his party planning to the “job he was born to do” at Costco. Fueled by making things happen and the joy it brought him to deliver those to the people he loved, liked or just wanted to prove he could do it, “Hardie” was the first person you called when you needed someone or something… and he ALWAYS delivered. If you ever went to Robert Frost Elementary, Kamiakin Junior High, Juanita High School, Western Washington University or had ever even driven by a Costco – you knew Hardie and he made your life better. If you knew Steve and had children, you never gave them the best gifts – Uncle Hardie did. If you had parents that knew Steve, you were never their favorite child, he was…and you agreed.
Fiercely loyal, compassionate beyond measure and, quite truly, a hero to all – Steve has been called to the VIP Room to take his seat between Nance’ and Scott. But don’t worry, he knows a guy and can get you a table when your time comes – because as we all know, the sun never sets on Steve Hardie’s Empire so prepare yourselves for the tailgate for the game in which all of our teams win the National Championship.
Preceded in death by his mother Nancy Hardie and his brother Scott Hardie.
Survived by his father Bob Hardie, his step-mother Joan, his step brothers and sister Brad, Erik, Craig and Theresa. And his Aunt Lois and Uncle George Wolfe.
