Just a year prior, her husband Curtis Wesley Hamilton also passed away from cancer on June 21st 2019.
Both Curt and Sue are now with the Lord in Heaven and reunited once again with those who left this earthly world before, including
Sue’s parents (Ella & Robert Sonner) and Curt’s parents (Dorothy and William Hamilton).
Sue and Curt are survived by their daughters – Lee Gallagher and Page (Brian) Collins, their grandchildren – Spencer, Brendan and Carson Gallagher, Curtis and William Calhoun, Kaitlin Collins, Jack and Nicholas Hamilton, Sue’s brother Robert Sonner and Curt’s brother Warren Hamilton.
Curt was born on the 19th of March 1940 in Queens, New York.
And Sue was born on the 12th of June 1942 in Beth Page, New York.
They both grew up on Long Island and this is also where they first met. Sue got a job as a Secretary at her father’s office – which is also where Curt worked at the time.
They soon fell in love and they were married on May 1st 1965.
Two years later, Sue & Curt were blessed with 2 daughters, Page (born July 25th 1967) and Lee (born August 30th 1971).
The family lived in Huntington Station on Long Island, New York until 1976, when they moved to Seattle, following job opportunities. Curt went to work as a Sales Rep for Boeing while Sue was a stay-at-home mom.
Sue and Curt loved boating, traveling, eating out at Daniel’s Broiler and Ruth’s Chris Steak House and spending time with their loved ones.
They also had a special place in their hearts for their beloved dogs.
Their family will miss Sue and Curt’s sense of joy, humor and the enormous love they had for all of their family and friends.
An inurnment service was held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue, Washington on May 16th 2020.
