Theresa Marie Siewert

Theresa was born on April 23, 1934, to Marcella and John Camden, spending her early childhood years in Sisseton, SD before the family moved to Ellensburg, WA.

To all who knew her it was clear she had a quiet strength and grace that she shared with everyone. Theresa spent 30+ years working in the Admissions Office of Bellevue (Community) College and helped many foreign students in the process of applying for admission and navigating an unfamiliar environment. When she retired, the tributes were endless, and she always said that was one of the most wonderful times of her career. Theresa also spent many summers working at Longacres Racetrack with various roles in the Turf Club and Paddock Club, where she was loved by all. She had a gentle way of finding unique and beautiful connections with her three kids and their friends who also spent many summers working at Longacres. And like her mother, she was a lifelong fan of the Seattle Mariners and kept a close eye on their season regardless of the win/loss record. In addition, she loved to go to movies with family and was a proud owner of a “Lifetime of Happiness” pass from the Majestic Bay Theatres. Theresa also volunteered at Overlake Hospital for the Sonja Potter Auxiliary and served in many roles including President. She was a treasure to all who knew her including 14 nieces and nephews that she adored, sharing extra special bonds with niece Loree Grindstaff and nephew Ron Hankins.

Theresa is survived by her three children: Brent Siewert (Victoria Hawker); Cindy Willams (Lance) and Elizabeth Wallwork (Robin); grandchildren Jake Siewert (Rachel Simmons) and Riley Siewert (Spencer McDowell); sisters Helen Hankins (Ron), Mary Jensvold (Carl) and Margaret Wetch and sister-in-law Pat Siewert (Bob Evans).
