

Waneta Schlosser passed away peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 83 on 12/28/2012, at home with her Husband by her side. Waneta was born in a small farming community in Essex Illinois. She was the fifth of nine children. She enjoyed traveling, on one of her vacations she and a girlfriend went to visit her brother who was serving at Fort Lewis in Tacoma during WWII. While in Washington she met her future husband Joe Schlosser at the Roanoke Inn on Mercer Island. Joe traveled to Illinois to marry Waneta. They were married on August 29, 1955. They returned to Washington and had four children. Waneta was a very loving, thoughtful caring mother and wife. Her most treasured possession was her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband Joe of 57 years, daughters Debbie Schlosser and her partner Rose Mansfield. Sherry Schlosser. Cindy Sloan and her Husband Dean. Her Son, (Joe) Pat Schlosser and his wife Robin. Their granddaughter Katie, as well as numerous other Step-Grandchildren, Step-Great Grandchildren, and many close friends and family. Funeral mass will be held on January 2, 2013 Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland Washington at 11:00am. We would like to thank Sandy and her team at Hospice of Evergreen, for their incredible comfort that they provided for Waneta and our Family.
