the successful conclusion of a life well-lived. He died in Manzanillo, Mexico, after two years of deteriorating strength due to a heart condition which culminated in a two-day hospital stay prior to his death.
He began life as the only son of Joan Fritz in Colorado Springs, CO., and completed his college there at Colorado College after two years of active duty in the Marine Corp. during the Korean War. As a proud Marine, Bill carried his Marine Corp. Sergeant I.D. card for 61 years.
He was well loved in life, and is now in joyous reunion with his oldest son, William Joseph Fritz, Jr., and his parents, who preceded him in death.
His family -- wife Celia, son Brook (wife Bella Debra), daughter Heidi Carchano (husband Dan), stepsons Kenneth and Jeffrey Anderson, granddaughters Nikki Bell (husband Daren), Danielle and Brittany Carchano -- will join with extended members of the immediate blended family to honor his memory in a private family ceremony on Friday, April 5 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Bellevue.
The family plans to hold a celebration of life party in the summer for Bill's friends to join them in remembering him and celebrating a life well lived. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, 877-958-2233.
After many years of lobbying for their firm, Public Affairs Associates, Inc., in Olympia, WA., Bill and Celia retired to travel, spend more time on their yacht, Sine Die, and fish in Canada in the summer and Manzanillo in the winter where they maintained a winter home at Vida Del Mar Condominiums.
He walked tall, worked hard, loved well, and thoroughly enjoyed life, and we will forever carry him in our hearts.
Sine Die, Bill. Rest easy and know that you are well-remembered and loved.
