

Woodrow Laremore Taylor passed away on June 10, 2010, owing to natural causes. He was born on Sept. 26, 1918 in Toppenish, WA. Woody was the son of Mart and Alzena Taylor. He graduated from West Seattle High School and University of Washington, with a Doctorate of Law. He practiced law in Seattle from 1946-1981, most of that career with Burlington Northern Railway. In 1943 he married Marguerite Myers, and after Woody’s service with the US Marine Corp during World War II they made their home in Seattle and then later in Bellevue. Marguerite preceeded Woody in death in 2009. Woody is survived by his 3 children, Ann Taylor Roux of Denver, Ellen Taylor Maurer of Williamsburg, VA, and James Taylor of Myanmar, his sister Marjory Taylor Ortolf, plus 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 27th at 2pm at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue.
