I thank God that I was part of his ministry and I thank God for his humbleness, generosity, for being a man of integrity, a man of valor, a man of great courage. Alfonso you will always be in my heart and my family.

Dearest Aunt Toni & Cousins:
My sincere condolences to you all. Uncle Al was a wonderful man of God. He had a very distinct voice and an awesome laugh. Some of my fondest memories as a child/teen were visiting My Aunt Toni & Uncle Al. I remember Uncle Al was always such a hard worker and family man. I remeber him taking us to get ice cream as kids, hanging out at the tree lot during the holidays, hearing his sermons while we attended his church and riding in the back of his El Camino. He would always talk about God and tell me to be a good daughter to my Mom Mollie. He said Moms are very special and we only get one.. That always resonated with me. When we were sick or going through things he and My Aunt Toni would always pray for us or give us a lending hand when needed. He also baptized most of my siblings and taught us about the Bible at his sermons. For that I am forever grateful and will continue to cherish these fond memories I carry with me. Thank you Uncle Al for always showing us God’s love 🙏🏽❤️

Dear Tia Toni and my cousins,
I and my family extend our deepest condolences to you upon the death of my Tio AL. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are unable to be with you during this difficult time but I know that you are not alone. Our Lord Jesus is our comfort and a very present help. Fall into his loving arms and let him carry you now when it is too painful to walk. He promised to never leave us or forsake us. Take comfort in knowing that those who are in Christ and go before us, are in his presence forevermore and are rejoicing.
We love you all,
Teri, Manuel, Joshua and Alicia Blancas

I remember the day my mom told me the news. My eyes began to twitch and water. For just a moment I was sad but not for long. Because I am confident St. Peter opened them pearly gates without hesitation for my Tio AL! I'll never forget my last coversation with him. We prayed and I felt the holy spirit right there over the phone. He shared something I never knew. He said him and my Dad were best friends. Also mentioned great things about my dad and the great times they shared. Now they are friends for ever. Amen!! May he rest in holy peace. Love your nephew/primo Ishmael Matas (Smiley).
