She was born on October 12, 1926 in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. She attended Regina School of Nursing in Albuquerque, New Mexico graduating in 1950. She began her career as a nurse at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Albuquerque. After moving to California, she worked at Saint Francis Hospital in Lynwood for a few years. For the remainder of her career she worked as a Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente Hospital Bellflower in the post operative / recovery room. She retired in 1988 after 38 years as an RN.
She loved to serve her community and was equally as dedicated to taking care of her family. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, reading and looking after her many grandchildren. She was a longtime member Saint Dominic Savio Parish and a devout Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Manzanares, Parents Moises and Maria Sandoval, siblings Gilbert the first, Raymond, Marcella, Adela and first born grandson Jeffery Paez.
Emma is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Terri), Frank Jr, Christopher and Julia.
She has 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation and rosary will be held on July 14th at Del Angel Mortuary in Bellflower, CA.
The private viewing for family is from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The viewing and rosary will be from 5-8 PM.
Her burial will proceed the following day on July 15th. Mass will be at Saint Dominic Savio Church at 10:45 AM in Bellflower, CA. The burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress, CA at 1:30 PM.
Pall Bearers are sons Frank & Chris Manzanares. Grandsons Daniel and Carl Webster, Marc Paez and great grandson Ethan Moncayo
We will gather afterwards at her home for a small reception to include food and beverages.
