

Was born July 4th, 1933, Independence, Missouri, he died peacefully at home, with family by his side on May 26th, 2025, Norwalk, California.
Loel married Donna and had 4 children, Bertrice, Roy, Loel Dean Jr, and Beth. Donna passed due to cancer.
Grandpa meet Roberta, (Bobbie), soon after and they were married May 29, 1985.
Together they had 10 children, 24 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, and another great great granddaughter on the way.
Grandpa is a Veteran and served in the army. He is very proud to have served this country. Leon also worked at Cal Duran, welding for over 30 years, where he retired.
Once retired, Grandpa became the weekend camper. Always taking trips with grandma and taking grand kids with them.
He was loved by his family and many friends. He was always there for his family and friends, willing to give advice or a shoulder for support.
Grandpa was generous, fair, and always turned the other cheek. He loved telling jokes and getting the kids to laugh. Every child that passed his path was an angel, a beautiful angel.
Grandpa loved working in the backyard, making or fixing things. Always keeping busy. He liked to play cards, and other games, camping, gardening, bowling, and anything western. He loved the grandkids. Always wanting them to come see him.
Grandpa will be missed by family members and friends. He touched a lot of hearts and souls with kindness.
We all love you, Grandpa, we will miss you, Rest in Peace.
A Funeral Service will be held at Light & Life Church Downey, 9245 Florence Ave, Downey, CA 90240, on June 16, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518, on June 17, 2026, at 11:30 am.
