Sandra H. Coleman-Horne

Sandra Helois Coleman Horne entered into this world on February 19, 1960 to the proud parents of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Coleman, in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Sandra went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 1:49am after a long fight with cancer.

Her mother Sadie Chappell, later moved to Redding, California, where she married Rubin Chappell, who became a loving stepfather. Sandra was educated in the Los Angeles Unified School District and Inglewood School District.

Following several moves in her young adult life, she settled in Los Angeles, California where she met and married Keith Atkinson, Sr. and to this union two sons were born Keith Lavell Atkinson and D’Andre Atkinson. Sandra later met and married Charles Marshall Horne a loving and faithful husband of 24 years.

Sandra had a personality that was so jolly it would captivate anyone she came into contact with. She loved people and they loved her. She could be found on the corners talking to the homeless with kind words and never letting them feel unwanted. She never met a stranger.

Sandra accepted Christ at an early age and in 1998 she joined Zoe Christian Fellowship Church of Whittier, California. Sandra always had a good word about God no matter her situation.

She will truly be missed and lovingly remembered by her husband’ Charles Marshall Horne, Jr., mother Sadie Chappell, Stepfather Rubin Chappell, sons; Keith Atkinson and D’Andre (Dominique) Atkinson; three grandchildren; Kilila Atkinson, Leilani Atkinson, and Kingston Atkinson, brothers; Donald Coleman, Rubin Chappell, Jr., Sidney Chappell, Sisters; Cathy Coleman, and Kim Coleman; Father-in-law Charles Marshall Horne, Sr. sister-in-law Loyce Horne, brothers-in-law; Brian Horne and Carl Horne. Preceding her in death, father Hubert Coleman, brother Dino Coleman; mother-in-law Gladys Horne, Brother-in-law Lee Horne and sister-in-law Debra Horne. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
