Ted was born in Bozeman, Montana in July, 1963. He spent his growing years (1966-1984) in Vancouver, Washington, and his later years (1984-2019) in the area of Burbank, California. Ted attended Walnut Grove Elementary School, Gaiser Junior High, and Fort Vancouver High School, where he graduated in 1982.
Ted worked for Ron Herman Clothing Stores for 30 years, ending his career as operations manager. He could trouble-shoot and handle any problem at the stores: electrical, wood-working, mechanical, furniture and display building, plumbing and roofing. Ted could fix anything.
Ted was a man of faith who loved Jesus Christ and enjoyed attending Seacoast Grace Church with his family.
Ted was a great fan of the out-doors and spent his happiest times hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycle riding and dirt bike riding. He also loved the place of his birth and returned to Montana whenever possible.
Ted loved to laugh, joke and tell stories. His laugh was genuine and infectious. Ted was known to take selfies featuring his quirky bug-eyed grin and his beloved dog, Gertie.
Ted's parents, Clarence and Janice Dykman, brother Steve, sister-in-law Teresa, and niece Audrey, all reside in Vancouver, WA. Ted had many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who loved him.
