Alice was born on January 16, 1942, to Charles (Elbert) and Margaret Roy in Allison, Arkansas. She attended school in Arkansas and was a lifelong resident of the state. She spent most of her career as a production worker for Glad Manufacturing Company.
Alice was an avid seamstress, gardener, and thrifter, but she will be most remembered for her home cooking. She was a dedicated member of Catalyst Church in Bentonville for many years before transferring to her home church of New Life Christian Church in Bella Vista. Alice was a true pilar for the Lord, consistently spreading God’s love and word to anyone who would listen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Searcy; her parents, Charles (Elbert) and Margaret Roy; two sisters, Mary Ann Thomas and Dorothy Mae Roy; one brother, Franklin P. Roy; and a granddaughter, Heather Williams.
Alice is survived by her two daughters, Shelia Henderson of Pea Ridge and Connie Olinde of Hiwasse; her son, John Searcy of Hiwasse; two nephews, Mike and Dale Thomas; her granddaughters, Melissa Yager, Stacy Henderson, Taryn Hendricks, Kierstin Matheson, Amber Templeton, and Daisy Stover; and her grandsons, Tristen Searcy and Jeremy Williams. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren.
