So sorry for your loss. Chief Harrell was respected by all. Like others here, I was lucky to have served with him in the National Guard. An honorable man. He was tough on young Lieutenants but you knew he cared about you and all the soldiers. My sympathies to the family.

I was fortunate to have served with Billy in the 212th Signal Battalion. I remember back in the day when he would share his military stories with me and others all the while chewing on a cigar! He was an outstanding individual and soldier! Martha, may God bring you comfort during this most difficult time! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace Billy!!!!

Billy will be sadly missed by all his old National Guard friends. He was a swell guy and loved by all that knew him. "Mr. Clean" as I called him. God bless his family and love ones. One old soldier to another, it is over here and now you can start anew. SGM Eugene Beno Duke, RET.
