Callie Summers, 87, died November 7, 2020 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas after a short health crisis. Stubborn and fearless, she was a four-time cancer survivor and at the age of 80 crossed off her bucket list white water rafting and ziplining. She encouraged each of her five children to listen to the beat of their own drummer – and reveled in the song that became. Suffice to say, she had great appreciation for the wicked humor of certain family members. Callie was born in Grove, Oklahoma to the late Henry and Bertha Bolton. Also preceding her in death: her much beloved husband Bill Summers, daughter Nancy Brown, granddaughter Leah Brown and siblings Franklin, Jack, Gene and Twyla May.
She is survived by her children, Claudia Summers and her husband Amos Poe, Jeff Summers and his wife Monica Summers, Jennifer Summers and her husband Stanley Lancaster, Amanda Brown, and the grandchildren, Aidan and Birch Lancaster; Henry Summers, Katie McKenzie, and her husband Josh.
