Carl L. Hawkins, 84, passed away on January 22, 2013 in Springdale. He was born on December 21, 1928 to the late William and Gertrude (Brannon) Hawkins. He was the loving husband of the late Mary Hawkins who passed away January 2011.
He worked in construction and was employed by the Benton County Road Department for 20 years, retiring in 1994. He was an avid reader and loved being with his family and friends.
Carl is survived by his sons, Floyd Hawkins of CA and Henry Hawkins of Centerton; daughter, Fern Hawkins of Rogers; grandson, Jerry Hawkins and 3 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, and Chloe; 4 brothers, Thomas, Larry, Kenneth Hawkins all of CA, and Carol Hawkins of AZ.
He is preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Debbie Hawkins and 7 siblings.
A visitation will be Tuesday from 1 until 2pm, with a service beginning at 2:00pm in the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel, Bentonville. The burial will follow at Coffelt Cemetery in Vaughn.
