Daniel Oland Cookson

Daniel Oland Cookson, 83, of Centerton, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

He was born July 27,1941 in Milo, Maine to the late George & Blanche (Richards) Cookson. Daniel was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. In 1973 Daniel married the love of his life, Corey Chick and they have been happily married for the past 51 years. In 1982 he graduated from Maine Criminal Academy as a Reserve Officer. He served as a Deputy Sherrif in York County for 3 years. He was active in both the Masons and Shriners. Daniel was an avid golfer, Red Sox fan and food connoisseur. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Gerald Cookson.

Survivors are his wife Corey Cookson; daughter Angela Evankovich (John); sons Aaron Cookson and E. Randell Faulkner; a sister Marjorie Burke (Larry); and four grandchildren Ryan Boyer, Lucas Evankovich, Emma Cookson, and Caleb Cookson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 12:30 pm Friday, June 20, 2025, at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
