

Donald was generally called Don, except for his family who called him Sonny. His favorite names were Dad and Papa. Don was born July 15, 1934 at the community of Concord, Bowie County, Texas to Stanley and Lomie Phares Robinson. After graduating from Redwater High School in 1954, he served in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he attended Texarkana College and Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. He spent his working career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company having begun as a cable splicer’s helper in Corpus Christi and retiring as Regional Manager in Arkansas. He thoroughly enjoyed his telephone work and his co-workers.
Don married the love of his life, Billie Marie McDonald on July 5, 1958. They were happily married for 67 years. Together they celebrated the births of their daughters, Dondra and Diedra. Don loved to play golf and after retiring, he spent most days on the golf course having fun with his golfing buddies. Don accepted Christ as his Savior at the United Methodist Church in Redwater. His most recent years have been worshipping at Fellowship Bible Churches in Northwest Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by all of his ten siblings namely William Stanley (Bubba) Robinson, Dorothy (Dot) Walker Wright, Laura Elizabeth Robinson, Elsie Henry, David Robinson, Dale Robinson, Bobby Robinson, Burnard Robinson, Foye Pipes, and Joye Boone. He leaves behind his wife, Billie, and their daughters and spouses, Dondra and Brian Agovino and Diedra and Dan Gauw. His loving granddaughters are Darby, Sydney, and Aubrey Agovino, and Emma and Rachel Gauw.
Visitation service will be Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 pm at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home followed by the Graveside Service at 3:00 pm at the Bentonville Cemetery with son-in-law, Brian Agovino officiating.
