Donna Lee Black, 82, of Bella Vista passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021. She was born October 4, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Ruby Adda Brokaw Shirk and Leslie James Shirk. Donna was also preceded by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Franklin Black; a grandson, D.J. Black; her sister, Sally Slovensky and by her brothers, Rick and Butch Shirk. Donna’s life revolved around her family and supporting their activities. She was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and began playing the organ in church as a teen. Donna enjoyed the New York Times crossword puzzles and other newspaper puzzles. Survivors include her sons, Scott (Kathy) Black of Utah, David (Anne) Black of Bentonville and Darren (Marcy) Black of Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Stephani Black of Arizona; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her church family; numerous extended family members and dear friends. Donna was also survived by her youngest son, Brian Black of Arizona, who passed away after her on Sunday. Services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bella Vista. Visitation will begin at 10:00am and her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am.
