James David Troy

James D. Troy, 63, passed away on August 19, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on May 7, 1951 in Forest City, Arkansas to the late Cecil E. Troy Sr. and Doris May (Wells) Troy. He was the loving husband of Betty (Kamarit) Troy of Bentonville. He worked at Wal-Mart for 33 years as the Mailroom Supervisor.

James was blessed with a green thumb and loved growing plants and flowers. He enjoyed antique car shows, and was an accomplished piano player and artist. He was a selfless man who would do anything for his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Connie Cover (Ken) of Rogers and Jessica Troy (Jarrod Barnes) of Bella Vista; brother, Cecil E. Troy, Jr. (Janet) of Pea Ridge; sisters, Judy Taylor-McGowen (Benny) of Camanche, OK and June Milliken (Ed) of Bentonville; brother-in-law, Terry Jones of Bentonville; 3 grandchildren, Jackson, Molly and Izzabella; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jane Jones.

Visitation will be Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5:30-7:30pm in Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville. A funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00am in the funeral home, with burial to follow at Bentonville City Cemetery.
