Lewis Virgil (LV) Brewer Jr., of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away at home on Saturday, July 19, 2025. LV was born on August 21, 1934, in Rogers, Arkansas, to the late Lewis Virgil Brewer and Nova Vivian Cooper.
LV served in the Korean War as a Navy parachute rigger. After his service, he met and fell in love with his wife, Oma Brewer. Together, LV and Oma settled down, cared for their extended families, ran a small farm, and later, LV retired as a supervisor from the Clayton-Mark factory.
LV was preceded in death by his beloved wife; six siblings—Geraldine (Jerry) Lovell, Earline Graham, Sue Holman, Lue Herron, Bud Brewer, and Jo Brewer; two sons—Billy Guy Garris and Dewey Lee Garris; and one daughter, Jannie Francis Riley and one grandchild Jake Garris and one great-grandson Shane Douglas Roberts. He is survived by one daughter, Mary Garris; seven grandchildren—Wesley Johnson, Clarence Tolley, Michael Garris, Tracey Hastie, Delane Paschal, Cassandra Kelly, and Jacqueline Jean (JJ) Schnedler; twenty great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
LV loved music, was an avid reader, and had an unmatched passion for football and basketball. His favorite teams included the Razorbacks, Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, and the Packers (in that order).
