Mary Louise (Hutson) Lambie, born on November 21, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, peacefully passed away on July 9, 2026. She was a longtime resident of Northwest Arkansas, where she lived from 2001 until her passing.
Mary attended St. Catherine of Siena High School in Chicago and later studied at Loyola University. She was married to her beloved husband, George Lambie, on August 30, 1952, and they shared a beautiful life together until his death in 1990.
True to her vibrant spirit and final wishes, her life can be beautifully summarized in her own words: "She lived, she loved, she laughed." Among the family's most cherished memories are the beautiful times spent together with family and friends in Longboat Key, Florida.
Mary's family extends their deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional and caring staff members who supported her throughout her later years. They wish to specifically thank the dedicated teams at Magnolia Assisted Living, Jamestown Memory Care Unit and Nursing Home and the Northwest Arkansas Circle of Life Hospice. The compassion, dignity, and warmth shown by these caregivers brought immense comfort to Mary and her family.
She is survived by her loving daughter Kathy Hardison and her husband Bill; her son John Lambie and his wife Jennifer; and her daughter Patty Morgan and her husband Guary. Her legacy of love continues through her cherished grandchildren, Andy Lussie (Mo), Katie Morales (Jorge), Miranda Morgan and Nick Seiler, as well as her precious great-grandchildren, Kayson Morgan, Charlotte Morales, and Mia Morales. Sadly, Mary was predeceased by her grandchild, Luke Seiler. She also leaves behind her beloved companion and kitty, Cleopatra, who brought her endless joy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Mary’s honor to either the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or the Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, Florida (mote.org).
