

Morgan was born on July 2, 1952, in Cedar City, Utah, the firstborn son of Fredrick Webb Barber and Fawn DeMille Barber. Five years later, his brother, Bradley Fred Barber, was born. Morgan spent his childhood in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada.
In 1971, Morgan married Patricia Westover, and though the marriage later ended in divorce, they were blessed with three children: Amy, Aaron, and Jennifer.
Morgan proudly served in the United States Navy, stationed first in San Diego, California, and later at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland. After his military service, he returned to Henderson, Nevada. He worked for many years at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas before continuing his career with Medtronic, Inc.
On May 19, 2005, Morgan married Martha Jane Dickman Soos in Newport Beach, Oregon. Together, they lived in Corvallis, Oregon, before eventually settling in Decatur, Arkansas.
Morgan was a renaissance man. He had many talents and passions; he was always on a quest for knowledge and new understanding. He loved working outdoors on his property, especially riding his tractor and designing a beautiful yard full of whimsical and artistic creations; a gifted musician, he played the accordion, banjo, keyboard, drums, and numerous other instruments; he was also an artist, known for his quirky, cosmic, and spiritual angelic artworks; and he was also a skilled woodworker. Morgan’s sharp wit, warm humor, and poetic soul made him unforgettable to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha “Marty” Barber; his children Amy (Nelson Moak), Aaron Barber, and Jennifer Barber; his stepchildren Craig (Betsy) Soos and Sunny (Mike) Smaldino, and brother Brad (Kate) Barber.
Morgan’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Aynsly Moak, Adyson (Camren) Rowlette, Avery Moak, Lake, Sage, and Ryder Barber, Yardley, Oliver, and Grant Noble, Isabella and Michael Smaldino, Evan and Barron Soos, and one great-grandson, Ridge Rowlette. He is also survived by his loyal dog, Ruby.
A private celebration of life will be held on October 4th.
Morgan will be remembered for his creativity, kindness, humor, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him.
