She was born on July 4, 1940, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where her story began and where many of her earliest memories were formed.
Patricia was a woman with a strong spirit and a heart that was often expressed more through her actions than her words. She was not always one to make things easy, but she was someone who showed up. She stood by the people she loved and remained present through life’s challenges.
Her love was found in the everyday things—in a good meal prepared with care, a visit to the salon, or a familiar evening spent watching her favorite show beside her husband.
Growing up in Johnstown, Patricia enjoyed going to the movies and especially loved The Wizard of Oz. She often spoke fondly of singing as a child, a joy that stayed with her throughout her life. Her mother, Ida, held a particularly special place in her heart, and Patricia loved her unconditionally. That love for family would remain one of the defining threads of her life.
Above all, Patricia loved her family and her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was a steady presence, and she often shared Scripture and quoted verses that were meaningful to her.
Patricia’s life was made up of the familiar comforts and meaningful moments that often become our most treasured memories. She appreciated the simple pleasures, took pride in the little things, and had her own unmistakable way of being. Her presence will be deeply missed, not only in the moments when her family gathers, but in the ordinary days when they find themselves remembering her—over a favorite meal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Hernandez and Ida M. Hernandez; her daughters, Tammy Pahel and Sandra Alexander; and her brother, Frederick Hernandez.
Patricia leaves behind her devoted husband, Leroy Beiler; her daughters, Kimberly Oyler and Barbara Miller; her son, Matthew Beiler; and her brothers, Michael Hernandez and Frank Hernandez. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zoe Brasfield, Benjamin Phillips, Andrew Oyler, Priestly Beiler, Eli Beiler, Shannon Ulmer, Nathaniel Miller, Kristina Pendleton, Tracy Hendren, and Jamie Alexander, along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.
Patricia’s family will remember her in all the ways that matter most: for her steadfast presence, her love of family, her faith, and the familiar comforts that made her uniquely Patricia. The love she gave and the memories she created will remain a part of those who knew her.
May she rest in the loving arms of her Savior, reunited with those who went before her, and may the family she loved so dearly find comfort in the promise of eternal life.
