

Robert Gale Garner, 54, of Springdale, Arkansas, died on February 12, 2025.
Born on January 16, 1971 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, he was preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob) Warren, Sr, his mother and father, Mary Rose Parnell Warren Garner and Terry Garner, both long time residents of Batesville, Arkansas.
Rob is survived by his sons, Will Garner, 21, and Alex Garner, 17, and his former spouse, Whitney Garner all of Northwest Arkansas, his sister, Kelli Fly, brother-in-law, Billy Fly, and nephew, Eliot Fly, all of Nashville, Tennessee.
Rob had a passion for being out on the water and sailing. He taught himself how to sail on Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs, Arkansas and obtained his Coast Guard Captain’s license and his American Sailing Association (ASA) Instructor’s license while living in Annapolis, Maryland. He enjoyed leading sailboat charters and teaching others how to sail on the Chesapeake Bay.
Rob grew up playing the guitar and writing songs with his cousins and continued his love for music and singing throughout his life. He also played basketball and other sports in his youth, and was an accomplished high jumper in high school and college.
A memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
