Robert Stanley Martin

Robert Stanley Martin, 60, of Gravette passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 following an extended battle with lung disease. He was born August 30, 1954 in Gravette, the youngest of 3 children, to the late Stanley Nelson Martin and Margarett Maxine Ramey Martin. He was a lifelong resident of the Gravette area who attended Gravette Schools and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Hiwasse. He was a carpenter who remodeled and built many homes in the area. When people wanted something done, they said, “Robert can do it.” And he did. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Maxine Martin. Survivors include his daughter, Diana Blake and husband, Mike of Springdale; 2 sons, Robert Scott Martin and fiancé, Denise Vanover of Claremore, OK and Robert Kenneth Wilson and wife, Tabitha of Denison, TX; his brother, James Martin and wife Joyce of Gravette; his sister, Margaret Martin of Gravette; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
