

Ruie Bernice Crim, 79, of Avoca, Arkansas passed away on November 5th, 2025, in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born in Anderson, Indiana on January 1, 1946, to parents Virgil Van and Helen Ann (Winn) Crim.
Ruie was the fourth of ten children. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary Combs, Margaret Hensen, Virginia VanHoose, Janet Jones, Pamela Crim and Tammy Brush; and brother, Gerald Crim.
Ruie is survived by her husband of 29 years, Johnny Pierce; daughter, Barbra Prickett and her husband Mike; son, Johnny Pierce Jr.; four grandchildren, Morgan, Kylan, Grace and Ashlyn; as well as her brothers, Gale Crim and his wife Dixie, and David Crim.
Ruie was beautiful and talented and played guitar and sang with the Ozark Mountaineers on the Bluegrass festival circuit in the 1970’s, on stage at casinos in Las Vegas in the late 1970’s, and with various other bands at different venues throughout her life. At home she enjoyed playing guitar and singing often as well, writing some of her own songs and even once recording a record. In addition to singing and playing guitar, Ruie enjoyed inspiring her children and grandchildren to use their imaginations, loved watching old movies and television shows, working crossword puzzles and shopping for jewelry and other interests.
She was very loved, and will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed making others laugh. She was one of a kind and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Callison-Lough funeral home in Bentonville, Arkansas on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00pm.
