William Edgar "Ed" Bolain passed away 10/17/2022 in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born 4/27/1945 to Luther and Chloe Bolain in Bentonville. He was a 1963 graduate of Bentonville High School and attended the University of Arkansas. He was a lifelong farmer and made a career in lumber and construction. In 1966, he married Doris Jean Townzen and they bought a small farm in Bentonville where they made their life and raised three children. They were eventually blessed with eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren they greatly enjoyed.
He is survived by: his wife, Doris; three children, Kim Bolain Gallagher, Steve Bolain and Stephanie Bolain-Dean; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Bolain; several nieces, nephews, extended family and many lifelong friends.
Ed was often known as "Big Ed," and anyone who knew him knew his heart was the big part. He was a man of his word and his handshake was as good as any contract.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 10/21/22 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville, beginning with visitation from 12:00-1:00pm followed immediately by the funeral. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery.
