She was born on September 20, 1946, in Oklahoma City to Elvin and Mildred (Grayson) Clinkenbeard. Barbara attended Classen High School and later married the love of her life, Larry Hedrick, on May 18, 1964. Together, they shared many years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories until his passing in June 1996.
Barbara retired from Seagate, where she was a dedicated and valued employee. In her free time, she found joy in ceramics, crocheting, and caring for animals—especially her beloved dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin Clinkenbeard and Mildred Scott-Smith; husband, Larry Hedrick; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Barbara is survived by her cousin, Patricia Jordan; her devoted caretaker, Elisa Velasquez; and her treasured dog, Skylar; as well as many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, also at Bill Merritt Funeral Service, with interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
Barbara will be remembered for her kind heart, creative spirit, and deep love for animals and family.
