Billy Dean Rogers

Billy Dean Rogers, age 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 20, 2023. He was born February 26, 1934 in Cherokee County, OK to A.E. and Ruby Rogers. At 17 years old, with his grandfather’s permission, he joined the United States Marine Corp and faithfully served his country. Billy met his true love, Allison Sheldon, and they got married on June 2, 1984 and enjoyed 40 wonderful years of love, patience, and adventure. They were members of Church of the Savior Presbyterian. Billy had a quiet but strong faith. He was the protector of his family and people naturally gravitated towards his calm confidence. He was truly a “man’s man” and enjoyed and excelled in all things outdoors. He owned his own barber shop in Bethany for over 60 years and enjoyed the conversations and the friendships he made. He will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ural Rogers and Marvin Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Allison Rogers; children, LaDeana, Clara, Shelley, Billy, Jr., and Anita, Landon Curtis, and Brooks Curtis; brother, Jimmie; sister, Shirley; as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends.
