

Bobbie Dean Holloway, born November 20, 1934 in Columbia, Missouri, passed from this earth into Jesus’ arms on August 24, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Holloway of Columbia, Missouri and Alice Neal of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is survived by his brother, Gary Cox of Clinton, OK; his wife, Edna Holloway and four children, Vickie Pruitt and Warren Armstrong, both of Ringling, OK; Bobby Armstrong and Tim Armstrong, both of Oklahoma City, OK; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Bob married the love of his life, Edna Faye Hairell on July 19, 1967. Bob and Edna were lovingly devoted to each other for over 49 years. He worked for the City of Oklahoma City Water Department for over 38 years. Bob also served proudly in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1957 and in the Oklahoma Air National Guard from 1978 until he retired in 1994. He was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, OK.
An avid football fan, Bob loved watching games on TV, especially when his beloved Sooners or Dallas Cowboys were playing. He attended all of his son, Warren’s, games. Bob also loved watching his grandchildren’s football games and soccer matches. He was an avid runner, garnering many trophies and medals in his age division.
In his later years, Bob loved watching the squirrels and ducks play in his backyard, as well as spotting military aircraft as they flew over his house. But nothing gave him more pleasure than talking and spending time with his family when they came to visit, passing his wisdom and love on to them.
