Carol D. Wright

Carol D. Wright passed away December 7, 2018 in New Braunfels, TX at the age of 91. She was born December 24, 1926 in Henley, England to Sidney and Dorothy MacKory Band. Carol moved to the US from England in 1945 as a war bride settling in Fort Smith, AR. While in Fort Smith she worked as a nanny for several families before moving to Oklahoma City in 1947 with her husband, Jesse Casher and 3 small daughters. Carol worked at Baptist hospital for many years as well as raising her family. She later went to work at Western Electric as a framer and took an early retirement in the late 70’s. She attended Chapel Hill United Methodist church. She loved gardening and working in her yard every day. As well as sewing and taking care of her home. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, son, Johnny, and husbands, Williams Haines, Jesse Casher and Donald Wright and brother, Cyril Band. She is survived by 3 daughters and their husbands, Yvonne Najd and Said, Carol Ann Toomey and Gerald and Barbara Steele and Bill, brother, Raymond Band and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
