April 1, 1945February 19, 2021

Delmar Thomas Johnson passed away February 19, 2021, at the age of 75 to go be with his Lord and Savior due to illness. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Thomas managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. Thomas was born April 1, 1945 in Hickory, Oklahoma to Delmar Franklin Johnson and Pearlie Jane Arbuckle Johnson. He grew up in Fittstown, Oklahoma. Thomas graduated from McLish schools and later went to East Central University to study Business Management. He retired after many years of work to relax and enjoy his family. Thomas enjoyed the outdoors and loved animals. You could often find him fishing or hunting and enjoying the fresh air. He loved his family and friends and would give the shirt off his back to help any of them. Thomas was a devoted father and is survived by his three children, Kenneth Johnson, and wife Robin of Edmond, OK, Christopher Johnson Sr., and wife Jamie of Oklahoma City, OK, and daughter Lynne Jones and fiancé Richard Slaughter of Midwest City, OK. Three grandsons, Christopher Johnson Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, Jonathan Walker of Stonewall, OK, and Jaxson Johnson of Edmond, Ok. Three granddaughters, Kate Burghart of Harrah, OK, Whitney Walker of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jennifer Pointer of Oklahoma City, OK, along with 10 great-grandchildren, and seven siblings. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and several family members. Thomas will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who knew him. In lieu of Covid restrictions a small private celebration of life with family members will be held at a later date.
