March 16, 1939 – May 10, 2020
Dolores Armstrong, 81, of Warr Acres, Oklahoma passed away on May 10, 2020.
Dolores was born on March 16, 1939, to Henry and Lenora Graham in Oklahoma City, OK. Dolores graduated from John Marshall High School (1957). She worked at FAA for over 20 years and managed the books for her husband Jerry’s Kerr McGee gas stations. Dolores collected dolls and music boxes and allowed her dear nieces and nephew to play with them. She was Aunt Jenell or Aunt J to them. She loved to crochet and French braid. Dolores and Jerry owned Jerry’s Kerr McGee gas station at 63rd & Meridian, later on 39th across from SNU in Bethany. We all have fond memories of visiting them there, getting a favorite drink from the soda machine on the house while Jerry treated us to full service. Her niece Crista’s dog, Dinsky, fell in love with Dolores when Crista was a next door neighbor. He stayed in Warr Acres after Crista moved and became her best sidekick after Jerry passed. Dolores loved dangly earrings, Chinese food, reading, and the color blue. She made the best pumpkin pie. She had a memory like an elephant and kept so many family stories from the past alive. During her retirement, Dolores enjoyed painting, puzzles, and making her home beautiful. Dolores was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Dolores was preceded by her parents, Henry and Lenora Graham, brother, Dean Graham, and her husband, Jerry Armstrong. She is survived by her brother, Glen Graham of Midwest City, her sister Bev Wood and husband Chris of Warr Acres, her sister in law Sherill Graham of Warr Acres, step daughter Linda Cox of Hawaii, nieces and nephews: Troy Graham, Rob Graham, Trina Groh, Jonathan Graham, Sean Graham, Crista Graham McCann, Scott Graham, Rachel Schroath, Noah Wood and numerous cousins, family and friends.

I have such fond memories of Dolores. She was always kind and sweet and she LOVED her family (and Dinsky)! I always enjoyed her stories of growing up...it always made her smile.
She was an exceptional neighbor and friend.
She is flying with the Angels now, watching over all those that love her. She will certainly be missed.
Prayers for comfort and peace to the family.
