Doris Weaver left this life behind to be with her Savior on July 31st in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 93. She was fondly known as Mom, Grandma, and Granny to those closest to her. Born on November 22, 1928 in Wheeler, Texas and raised in Oklahoma, Doris was the daughter of Frank and Mamie Green, and was the second-youngest of nine children. She married W.H. “Dub” Weaver on December 6, 1947, and they shared 53 years of marriage before his death in 2001. Doris and Dub enjoyed hosting the entire family every Sunday to “sit and visit,” and she always prepared a huge, delicious homemade meal. She also loved going shopping, especially for furniture and antiques. She was known for her great love and care for her family, her generous, giving personality, and always being there to help and support those in need. Granny and Pappy never missed a game, rehearsal, rodeo, or birthday for all of their children and grandchildren. Doris is survived by her son Wes Weaver and wife Debbie, niece Dana and husband Robbie, grandson Chris Creekmore and wife Carla, and their daughter Riley; granddaughter Kim Creekmore; granddaughter Shelley Howell and husband Lance, and their sons Mason and Evan; grandson Justin Weaver and wife Jamie, and their children Blake and Brinlee; granddaughter Kelcy Sims and husband Josh, and their children Claire and Carson; grandson Logan Weaver and wife Mikayla, and their son Hunter.
