Dear Fellow Eagle Scout,

I want to introduce myself and share some information with you about an upcoming Eagle Scout Reunion Dinner. My name is Rance Bennett and I received my Eagle Rank at age sixteen from Troop132 under Scoutmaster “Doc” Calvert. My memories of Scouting have remained vivid my entire life, and now at the age of fifty-seven, they come flooding back and connect me to that sixteen year old boy who was so proud of his Eagle Rank. My guess is that you experience memories of Scouting similar to mine.

My job as Sales Manager for Dignity Memorial in Oklahoma City has given me recent opportunities to share my Scouting experience with others. Mike Skolaut, my General Manager, received his Eagle Rank when he was fourteen, and we have shared many memories and stories about our adventures in Scouting. Remember Philmont Treks and comparing who has the heaviest pack? I have also been able to involve Boy Scout Troops from across the Metro in a number of Dignity Memorial events, and they have been proud to participate and conduct flag retirement ceremonies at our Bill Merritt location.

Now Dignity Memorial is collaborating with the Last Frontier Council to sponsor an Eagle Scout Reunion Dinner on Friday evening, February 26th at the Church of the Good Shepherd located at 10928 SW 15th Street in Yukon, Oklahoma.

You may reserve a table for you and your guests for the Reunion Dinner by sending back the enclosed RSVP card or by contacting me at 405.436.5213. There is no charge for the dinner. It is our hope that your memories and experiences as an Eagle Scout generate a wish to help young boys today by contributing to the Last Frontier Council. I would love to have your attendance at this event, but if you cannot attend please look over the RSVP card and consider helping the Scouts of today make some memories like you had a chance to do as a boy.

We invite you, your family and other scouts to join us in celebrating and sharing memories and stories of adventure and fun. We are creating a video from personal photographs that you may have taken during your years in Scouting. To have your photos included, please email them to me by Monday, February 22nd. If you have scouting memorabilia, you may also take photos of those and submit them to [email protected]. If you are unable to scan photographs, please give me a call and I will make arrangements to get them scanned and returned to you.

I look forward to celebrating with you on Friday the 26th in a night of fun and sharing great memories.
