Elbert "Red" Hendrix went home to Heaven on Dec 3, 2014 at 8:30am after a lengthy and hard-fought battle with COPD. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Billie Hendrix, his eldest daughter Shelly Biggers, her husband Mike, and their daughters Lauren and Caitlyn; daughter Angie Rodriguez, her husband Jose, daughter Ashleigh and sons Cayden and Evan; and son Scott Hendrix, his wife Laura, their children Gracie and Brady, and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Owen and Veda Hendrix and his brother Jim Hendrix. Red was a much loved husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and watching sports with his family. He was an auto parts salesman at NAPA for more than 40 years. A viewing will be held Friday from 12pm to 8pm with family receiving between 6-8pm. The funeral will be Saturday at 11am at Bill Merritt Funeral Home in Bethany.
